"Sitting by the river, calm waters, birdsong, the breeze, even the laughter of a child, are experiences of extreme inner connection, but they do not compare to how good the feeling of this practice is. In yoga, we speak body, breathing, philosophy, and even energy, but speaking is not what brings us here, but the desire to go further. It is a journey that must be experienced to understand what yoga really consists of. "

Raja Yoga - This teaching of the Patanjali system (second century) of the 8 limbs (steps). Known as "The path to meditation" strictly adhering to the principles of Yamas and Niyamas.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a yoga system that has its origin in the ancient manuscript Yoga Korunta, compiled by the sage Vamana Rishi. The manuscript is known to contain grouped series of asanas and body teachings and techniques on vinyasa, drishti, bandhas, mudras, and other teachings. Its current form was developed at Mysore Palace in Mysore, India, and is often attributed to Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, through his Satguru, Krishnamacharya. The eight steps indicated by the word ashtanga refer specifically to the eight steps outlined by the sage Patanjali.
